Camp Metro Administrative Assistant
Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas (GSSWT) is headquartered in San Antonio, TX, and serves more than 10,000 Girl Scouts (girls and adults) across 21 counties in southwest Texas. We are currently looking for individuals to fill the following Summer Camp positions at Camp METRO. Camp Metro is a day camp program held at the West Side Girl Scout Leadership Center at Coronado/Escobar in San Antonio.
Administrative Assistant
Reports to Camp Director
Position Purpose: The Administrative Assistant is responsible for the business management of the camp in assistance to the Camp Director.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintains and makes necessary entries into camp logbooks.
- Assists with paperwork, filing, checking all forms of campers as well as assist with camper check-in.
- Keeps necessary records of camp inventories, camper profiles, camp rosters, weekly camper reports, etc.
- Assists Camp Director & Assistant Camp Director in planning and conducting staff training and meetings.
- Assist in facilitation of weekly surveys.
- Assist with Procare paperwork and filing.
- Works with Camp Director & Assistant Camp Director to conduct performance surveys of Program Aides and Counselors-In-Training.
- Assists in coordinating opening and closing days.
- Attends administrative and staff meetings.
- Responsible for Lost and Found items.
- Acts as a role model for campers and staff in behavior and attitude, following the Girl Scout Promise and Law.
- Participate in all camp activities.
- Acts as host/hostess for camp visitors and parents.
- Follows and adheres to National and Council policies, procedures, and plan
- Other duties assigned by camp director.

Requirements:
- Must attend 2 weeks of training - May 26-29 and June 1-5 from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
- Must be available to work the entire camp sessions June 8 – July 17, 2026.
- Valid driver’s license and successful completion of a criminal background check.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Willingness to work as a team member.
- Some college is preferred.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
- Interest in and knowledge of Girl Scout program.
- Follows and adheres to National and Council policies, procedures, and plans.
- Operates according to ACCT standards and local operational procedures.

Reports To: Camp Director
- Compensation: $15/hr.
- Work schedule is 40 hours per week - Monday through Friday.
- If selected for hire, a minimum of 2 references will be requested.
