Girl Experience Specialist

We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative individual passionate about inspiring young minds. This role involves working directly with girls from kindergarten through 5th grade, with occasional interaction with older girls in grades 6-8. The ideal candidate will have a flair for developing engaging curriculum and activities that spark imagination and curiosity.
The Girl Experience Specialist supports the development and delivery of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience that supports membership retention. Responsible for designing and maintaining a safe environment that can provide a girl-led, learning by doing, cooperative learning experience for all grade levels. Develop relationships with volunteers and community partners to support delivery of the Girl Scout program portfolio. This position will work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure the council’s goals are achieved.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in the development, coordination, and delivery of quality program events and curricula that meet the council’s goals.
- Creates a trusting, cooperative relationship with program partners within the community to include nonprofit organizations, businesses, or others that support the council’s goals.
- Delivers a program experience that provides some of the five ways girls benefit by participating in the Girl Scout program: strong sense of self, positive values, challenge seeking, health relationships, community problem solving.
- Manages and leads groups of participants of 10 to 100 girls.
- Develops volunteer relationship to support program delivery.
- Attends community events in partnership with other departments, as needed.
- Maintains adequate attendance, record keeping, paperwork processes, purchasing processes, and database administration for program participation.
- Assists with the analysis of program evaluations to ensure membership needs are being met, and addresses issues and modifies or discontinues programs as needed.
- Assists with outcome survey implementation.
- Supports grant implementation.
- Performs additional duties as assigned in support of the council’s mission and goals.

- Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret database information. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from volunteers or members of the business community.
- Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and apply concepts of basic math.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Computer Skills: Must be proficient with a computer and Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Training Provided: Receive training in archery, CPR & First Aid, and potentially high ropes course.
- Activity Leadership: Plan and implement fun, creative activities that align with our mission to empower girls.
